At the heart of Boringdon, the Great Hall is a grand yet welcoming space perfect for enjoying a Devon cream tea or expertly mixed pre dinner cocktail. This time of year, its is particularly stunning as light streams in through the amazing lead work windows, illuminating precious tapestries, ornate carvings and oak panelling.

Overlooking the Great Hall is the acclaimed Gallery Restaurant where guests can enjoy an evening of fine dining courtesy of Boringdon’s experienced chefs.

The Remy Bar meanwhile is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink with its leather sofas and magnificent arched doorway.

Accommodation

There are 40 luxury suites and bedrooms, ranging in design from contemporary to period, the latter complete with four poster beds, exquisite antique furniture, imposing stone fireplaces and rich furnishings. With interiors carefully crafted to combine tactile fabrics with superior furnishings and welcoming touches such as luxury toiletries and dressing gowns, each bedroom has its own unique ambiance.

The Royal Suite, quite possibly the only place in the country where it’s possible to sit beneath the stars sipping champagne in a heated outdoor Jacuzzi, positioned within the original turret of an Elizabethan manor house!

Set over three levels, this lavish accommodation includes a sumptuous drawing room, intimate private dining area, magnificent travertine marbled bathroom with twin shower and a freestanding duvalli eggshell stone bath, secluded terrace with aforementioned Jacuzzi and a gorgeous bedroom space.

Overlooking the Great Hall, and regarded as one of Devon’s finest dining destinations, the intimate and candle-lit Gallery Restaurant showcases inventive British fare using locally sourced ingredients.

For the ultimate gastronomic extravaganza, the chef’s table at Boringdon Hall provides the ultimate VIP dining experience for up to eight privileged guests. Seated in an exclusive private dining area situated in the Minstrel’s Gallery, diners are presented with an eight course tasting menu. Changing according to the season, it comprises exquisitely prepared dishes made from the finest Devon and Cornwall produce. The chef is present throughout the evening to offer an insight into cooking techniques and menu design.

Activities

Situated on the edge of the idyllic Dartmoor National Park, guests can walk the moors, cycle through secluded woods, go horse-riding, do a spot of fishing or enjoy a range of adrenalin-packed water sports.
