The five star Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa and Island, located just off the West Coast Highlands of Scotland is welcoming guests to tantalise their taste buds at their luxurious Wine Weekend from 13th- 15th November.
Two night’s dinner, bed & breakfast with afternoon tea each day will cost from £410 per person (including wine supplement on the Saturday evening).
The weekend will centre around Saturday night’s dinner. A Michelin starred chef will be working closely with wine expert Philippe Larue to develop a mouth-watering menu paired with exquisite wines with each course. The wines chosen will showcase young 2nd and 3rd generation producers from France, emphasising their breadth and depth of ability.
The tasting menu will feature only the finest seasonal ingredients with a fish from the surrounding waters, a meat from the hills surrounding the island, and a vegetarian alternative inspired by one of the gardens or larders close to hand.
The wide range of raw ingredients produced on the 300 acre island is unparalleled by most places in the UK. This provides the ideal base for the restaurant team at Eriska who thrive on enhancing the natural flavours of their dishes. Salad, herbs and mushrooms come from the gardens on the island, jellies and chutneys made from Eriska’s own berries. The restaurant team even have a smokery onsite to develop the flavours of their dishes. A new addition to the island is the Deck Restaurant which opened in June, offering a casual dining experience on its large decking with views over the waters towards the rugged highlands.
Reaffirming its’ status as a place to switch off and escape the rest of the world on a wellness break, Eriska has also recently re-opened The Stables Spa with a brand new state of the art thermal suite with sauna, steam room and mud Rasul room. There are also two luxurious new treatment rooms with statement baths and stunning sea views over Loch Linnhe; as well as a new Life Fitness Gymnasium.
There are a multitude of activities to enjoy: the Isle of Eriska is rich in life and a nature lover’s haven. When not taking in the sights on long strolls along the beach, guests can go otter spotting from the new look out point or exploring the coastline through sailing, kayaking or fishing. There is also a 9 hole golf course from which to enjoy the stunning setting.
The Wine Weekend package starts from £410 per person and includes:
